Introduction Podcast White Space Agency

Welcome to the world of Brands on Tap, our innovative new “pubcast” that’s bringing marketing and branding discussions out of the boardroom and into the relaxed atmosphere of your local pub. This unique podcast format combines professional expertise with an approachable, conversational style that makes complex marketing concepts accessible to everyone.

Meet the White Space Team

Behind Brands on Tap is the talented team from White Space, a full-service creative, marketing, and web agency. The podcast features four key voices, each bringing their unique expertise to the conversation:

Jaz – Marketing Manager
Leading the marketing strategy from the top level, Jaz handles everything from initial strategy development to implementation across both online and offline channels. With a strong focus on marketing measurement, she ensures that every campaign delivers measurable success for clients.

Paul – Creative Director & Co-Founder
As one of White Space’s co-founders, Paul brings the creative vision to life. His expertise spans brand research, logo development, brand collateral creation, website design, and film editing. If it’s creative, it’s in Paul’s wheelhouse.

Rob – Technical Design Director & Co-Founder
The other half of White Space’s founding duo, Rob focuses on the technical aspects of the business. His responsibilities include web design, web development, social media strategy, and overall business strategy consultation.

Ellie – Marketing Executive
Working alongside Jaz, Ellie handles the day-to-day execution of marketing campaigns, with particular expertise in digital marketing, offline promotion, and social media management.

What Makes White Space Different

White Space positions itself as a truly full-service agency, offering clients the flexibility to use their services à la carte or as a comprehensive solution. The team’s philosophy centers on honest, strategic consultation rather than simply delivering what clients think they want.

Industry Expertise Across All Sectors

The White Space team brings extensive experience across virtually every industry sector, from adoption and fostering to healthcare, automotive, marine, and manufacturing. This breadth of experience allows them to:

  • Provide industry-specific insights while avoiding tunnel vision
  • Apply proven methodologies across different sectors
  • Offer fresh perspectives that industry-specific agencies might miss

The Full-Service Advantage

What sets White Space apart is their ability to see the bigger picture. When clients approach them for a single service, the team conducts a comprehensive analysis to identify what will truly drive success. This might mean recommending a completely different approach or suggesting additional services that will maximize the client’s investment.

As Paul explains in the podcast, “We’re quite open and honest with our clients about what we’re offering. If we genuinely believe that’s not right for them, or we believe that budget could be better spent through an XYZ, we’ve generally got knowledge in each of those areas to advise that client.”

The Philosophy Behind Brands on Tap

Why a “Pubcast”?

The team chose the pub setting deliberately to create a more relaxed, accessible format for discussing marketing and branding topics. As Ellie notes, “It’s one thing coming to work and writing that email to ask a question, but listening to a podcast about a specific theme is just a lighthearted way to catch up.”

Educational Mission

Brands on Tap aims to serve multiple audiences:

  • Business owners seeking marketing guidance
  • Industry professionals looking to stay current with trends
  • Existing clients wanting deeper insights into White Space’s processes
  • Prospects considering working with the agency
  • Anyone interested in learning about marketing and branding

Myth-Busting and Trend Analysis

The podcast tackles common misconceptions in the marketing industry while analyzing both current trends and timeless branding principles. The team plans to examine brands that excel in their fields, whether they’re trending now or have been successful for decades.

What to Expect from Future Episodes

Each episode of Brands on Tap will focus on specific themes, providing:

  • Top-level overviews of complex marketing concepts
  • Practical insights from 30+ years of combined industry experience
  • Honest opinions on current trends and changes in the industry
  • Case studies of successful branding campaigns
  • Strategic advice for businesses of all sizes

The Value of Experience

With Paul bringing three decades of industry experience to the conversation, listeners gain access to insights spanning the evolution of marketing from traditional methods to today’s digital landscape. This historical perspective, combined with the team’s current expertise in digital marketing and social media, offers a unique viewpoint on how the industry continues to evolve.

Authenticity at Its Core

One of the most refreshing aspects of Brands on Tap is the team’s commitment to authenticity. They’re not afraid to leave in the occasional mistake or spontaneous moment, believing that this genuine approach better represents who they are as professionals and as people.

As the team wraps up their inaugural episode, their enthusiasm for future discussions is palpable. Whether you’re a seasoned marketing professional or someone just beginning to understand the importance of branding, Brands on Tap promises to deliver valuable insights in an engaging, accessible format.
