Project overview
Proudly supporting Fostering North Somerset’s brand transformation.
In 2025, Fostering North Somerset invited us to support a full transformation of their fostering service. This included a complete rebrand alongside the design and build of a new bespoke recruitment website, helping to position them clearly as the go-to fostering provider in the region.
Operating within a local-authority-dense area had presented ongoing geographic and competitive challenges. To address this, we worked closely with the team to distil and define what truly sets their offer apart. The insight was then translated into a cohesive brand, website and supporting marketing strategy, designed to strengthen their presence and connect more effectively with people living across North Somerset.


Branding
A fun, distinctive brand that reflects exactly who they are.
Through our Discovery process with Fostering North Somerset, it quickly became clear that love, care and passion all sit at the heart of the team. These values were non-negotiable and needed to be clearly reflected in the way the organisation presented itself.
With this in mind, we set about creating a new brand that felt warmer and far less corporate than before. Whilst the previous had served the authority well for many years, parts of it were beginning to feel tired and outdated, presenting the opportunity to refresh and re-energise their visual identity.
Bringing the new brand to life was a highly collaborative process. We explored ideas through mood-boarding and mock-ups, before landing on a final identity that truly captures the spirit of Fostering North Somerset. The result? A fun, light and playful colour palette paired with a distinctive illustration style that continues to evolve. We also introduced a deep purple typeface and line-heart element, which is a gentle nod to their original brand, which we were glad to honour.

Bespoke WordPress Website
Building a bespoke website to support Foster Carer recruitment.
To help position Fostering North Somerset as a stand-out fostering organisation, we designed and built a brand-new recruitment website tailored to the local authority's ambitions. The site focuses on clearly communicating the full range of benefits available to prospective Foster Carers, while presenting the service in a more engaging and approachable way.
Reviewing the existing website helped us gauge where users needed more clarity. This insight led us to introduce new features such as an intuitive finance calculator, as well as dedicated pages for specific fostering pathways.
Marketing Strategu
Driving measurable impact through a targeted digital marketing strategy.
Since the website launch, we’ve been delivering a comprehensive digital marketing strategy designed to support Fostering North Somerset’s most urgent recruitment needs. Our approach focused on specific fostering types, including (but not limited to) siblings, short and long-term placements, short breaks for children with disabilities, emergency care, school-aged children and teenagers – ensuring to target the right audience at the right time.






























From Google Search to Social Media
Combining multiple channels to increase success.
The strategy combined multiple channels, including Google Search, Meta advertising, organic social media support and ongoing optimisation to help maximise reach and engagement. Together, these efforts have delivered clear and measurable results, including significant increases in organic traffic, organic social media engagement and a vastly improved level of traffic through paid means.
Offline marketing – Digital audio
Reaching local audiences through a targeted digital audio campaign.
Digital audio may have killed the radio star - as now, we are seeing a rise in the use of digital audio over radio. In North Somerset’s case, it was a no-brainer. Given their size, we wanted to ensure we were truly maximising impact in their locality and not wasting budget by distributing beyond their limits.
The campaign pulled at heartstrings, featuring the voice of a young child, helping to bring authenticity to the message, with a script that was sensitive, genuine, light-hearted, and aligned with their wider brand.
